U.S. Stock Market Situation on September 30
The U.S. stock market rose in Monday’s trading session despite the Fed Chair's cautious stance on interest rate cuts. Specifically, the S&P 500 index increased by 0.22%, reaching 5,762.48 points—a record high. The Nasdaq index gained 0.38%, reaching 18,189.17 points. The Dow Jones index edged up by 0.04%, closing at 42,330.15 points, another all-time high.
U.S. Treasury Bonds Situation on September 30
The yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury bond continued to rise, reaching 3.779%.
Dollar Index Situation
The dollar index increased by 0.38%, reaching 100.76 points after the Fed Chair adopted a more hawkish tone on the economy.
Gold Market Situation
Global gold prices fell today, with spot gold dropping by 24.9 USD to 2,635.4 USD/ounce. Gold futures saw a decline of 26.2 USD compared to the previous early morning, settling at 2,654.7 USD/ounce.
