The U.S. Dollar Index rose by 0.26% on Thursday, driven by positive economic signals from the U.S. economy. Weekly jobless claims fell more than expected, and Q2 GDP was revised upward due to increased consumer spending. However, gains in the dollar were limited after July's pending home sales unexpectedly dropped by 5.5%, much weaker than the expected 0.2% increase from the previous month.
The December Silver Futures price rebounded, with the settlement price at $29.989 per troy ounce, up 1.22% from the previous session.
The October Platinum Futures price increased, settling at $946.2 per troy ounce, up 0.95% from the previous session.
The October Copper Futures price slightly rose, with the settlement price at $4.175 per pound, up 0.05% from the previous session.
