On Wednesday, rising Treasury yields supported a moderate increase in the U.S. dollar index by 0.23%.
Additionally, the dollar was bolstered by a more than 1% decline in the yen following the latest speech by the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Japan. Mr. Uchida stated that the BOJ would not raise interest rates further amid financial market volatility.
The September Silver Contract price decreased. The settlement price on August 7 was $26.944 per troy ounce, down 1% from the previous session.
The October Platinum Contract price increased. The settlement price on August 7 was $929.7 per troy ounce, up 1.03% from the previous session.
The September Copper Contract price decreased slightly. The settlement price on August 7 was $3.952 per pound, down 1.86% from the previous session.
