Domestic coffee prices rise again
The domestic coffee market today increased by up to 1,200 VND/kg compared to yesterday, bringing the commodity close to the 123,000 VND/kg mark. Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the three districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at 121,500 VND/kg. In Dak Lak, the Cư M'gar district is purchasing at 122,500 VND/kg today, while the Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at 122,400 VND/kg.
Global coffee prices rise after FOMC meeting
Global coffee prices have recovered after a series of declines. Following the two-day policy meeting, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decided to keep interest rates unchanged, as expected by the market. In response to this news, the USD cooled down, which helped coffee prices to rise.
The price of the July 2024 Arabica Coffee Futures contract increased. Specifically, the settlement price on June 12 was 224.35 cents/pound, up 1.72% from the previous day.
