Over the past three weeks, prices of precious metals such as silver and platinum have entered a consolidation phase, fluctuating in a sideways trend.

According to Mr. Trần Ngọc Quang, Deputy Director of SFVN, this is a necessary correction after the previous strong price increase. Prices are unlikely to drop significantly as investors may increase their holdings of precious metals as a hedge against risks, especially with the upcoming U.S. election. Conversely, basic metal prices may continue to decline in the short term due to weak consumption demand, which remains the key factor influencing price trends.
