[SFVN Sharing] – Supporting Those in Need
5 tháng 11, 2024
Continuing its series of activities aimed at fulfilling the mission of making a positive contribution to the community, on November 4, 2024, SFVN carried out a small yet meaningful initiative, bringing a spirit of sharing and hope to two individuals in need of support.
The first case was that of little Bảo Ngọc, a 4-year-old who has been enduring a long and complex treatment journey since her diagnosis. In September 2021, during the Covid-19 outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City, Bảo Ngọc fell ill, showing signs of a painful gum tumor and high fever. Initially misdiagnosed as a dental abscess, her symptoms worsened. A biopsy at Children's Hospital 1 confirmed she had a malignant tumor caused by soft tissue cancer. Over the past three years, Bảo Ngọc has undergone continuous chemotherapy and symptom management at the Ho Chi Minh City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital and the Oncology Hospital.
The second case involved Mr. Phương, a 44-year-old devoted son who has been tirelessly caring for his elderly, ailing parents. As a musician, he used all his resources to care for his paralyzed mother and visually impaired father. Recently, however, he was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis, which has significantly deteriorated his health. Despite the many hardships, Mr. Phương remains committed to his family and persists in his treatment.
SFVN hopes not only to provide material assistance but also to spread warmth and compassion. We believe that through unity and shared support, hardships can be alleviated, and hope can be kept alive.
SFVN hopes to continue organizing regular activities and expanding its support to reach a wider range of individuals in the community, contributing to the creation of a more united and compassionate society.
